Tournaments

Tournaments are a great way to challenge yourself. We encourage tournaments but they are not required as a part of karate.  It can be intimidating and a little scary especially if it's your first one, but that's part of the reason why we do them. It's scary because you're asking someone to judge you. You are asking other people to watch you, and see you.

What it does, is it teaches how to conquer fear and make it through to the other side.

It gives the students a chance to support each other and come together in a spirit of friendship, and team work, while still working on themselves and doing their best.

Tournaments

There are many schools that host tournaments, and we are one of them. We host the Wiregrass Open Martial Arts Championship (WOMAC). Dates undecided for this year.

The Next Tournament is in Andalusia.

Seminars and clinics

We will host seminars and often participate in other seminars. We want every opportunity to succeed and to support others that practice real traditional karate.

We will take a weekend and do clinics on Weapons, Sparring, Kata, and  Kumite.

This gives a chance to get to the Bunkai and fundamentals on a deeper level.
